Every Sunday! 460 Harrison Ave, Boston MA
This Market started the trend 10 years ago! Founded by Chris Masci owner of NE Open Markets, LLC. Chris’s concept was to bring together local artists, designers, crafters, and farmers in a non-competitive, affordable outdoor setting. His concept was a huge hit, the market is now one of Boston’s largest weekly destinations attracting 10,000 market lovers from around New England and beyond.
A sunny Sunday morning in June, a sea of white tents … and lots and lots of kids just out of art school flapping their wings, offering you everything from found-glass anklets to toaster sculpture to pastel knit caps made of cotton and silk for your first-born. Next to moms-and-pops who’ve survived the aftermath of the 70’s unphased and are still carving their salad bowls from swamp cedar. Seconded by the cleverest fridge magnets, yes hand-made, you ever did see including some that hide in the freezer when mom and dad come to visit. If you come out of here without something to slide across the table on your second date, to give to your favorite thinking man’s groom, or to get you out of your latest tight … then you should give up and start parsing a West Elm catalog.
